We are very energized to share and invite you to a series of exciting opportunities that can advance London’s Climate Emergency Action Plan (CEAP) over the coming months and years.

For the last ten months a London-based cohort of representatives from the City of London’s Climate Change, Environment and Waste Management Team (CCEW), Climate Action London, London Environmental Network, reforest London and SDG Cities have been participating in the Tamarack Institute Community Climate Transitions (CCT) program with 19 other cities across Canada. 

Tamarack’s CCT team are organizing the following national virtual events next week,  and CCT and the City of London’s CCEW are supporting the following local London-based events -

Communities Taking Climate Action London Region Networking Event

  • we will have informal remarks and networking about the CCT 2022 and 2023 Cohorts, and 2023 CEAP related plans, including the April 22nd, 2023 Earth Day celebration

First National Communities Taking Climate Action: Putting Equity at the Centre

  • two-day national virtual event where you will have an opportunity to take part in over 5 hours of 14 specially curated panels, workshops and masterclasses, meet over 200 community climate movers and shakers, 10 thought leaders and experience coaching opportunities, access learning resources and much more!

  • with a growing community of nearly 1,400 changemakers and climate champions from across Canada, we are celebrating the first year and a half of Community Climate Transitions, including the 10-month learning journey that 19 trailblazing communities embarked on

  • you’ll have a chance to hear from inspirational speakers and connect with peers around the themes of advancing a local climate transition through a whole-community approach that makes space for everyone, centering equity and justice in climate work, and leading with hope and care
