WHO
Program will be led M. Tracey Whiteye, Oshkaabewis Kwe, which means a woman helper or messenger in Objibwe language. Tracey is a wholistic practitioner, researcher and educator.
WHAT
Honour mother earth and future generations with story-telling, songs and prayers.
Share the water ceremony will honour the four directions around the sacred fire.
Engage the sacred bundles and other indigenous women who are Berry Fasters, will be present.
Announce the new Greening Sacred Spaces initiative.
Announce the call for submissions for two x $500 Climate Action London grants, which addresses London's Climate Emergency Action Plan and aligns with the Global Sustainable Development Goals. See below.

SPECIAL GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT
ARE YOU READY TO ADVANCE LONDON’S CLIMATE EMEGENCY ACTION PLAN
Just fill out the Google Forms Grant Application with information about yourself and details of your project. Two $500 grants will be awarded at a celebration of the Winter Solstice, Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021. Projects will be completed between Dec. 21, 2021 and the celebration of the Spring Equinox on Sunday, March 20, 2022
Projects should align with the Mission of Climate Action London to activate, educate and advocate Londoners to integrate London’s Climate Emergency Action Plan in their homes, workplaces, schools, stores, places of community service, recreation and worship. These two grants will help support unique projects that move us closer to meeting and exceeding London’s Climate Emergency Plan targets.
Anyone can apply. It might be a school project, a work project, a neighbourhood project.
Please submit your Climate Action London grant applications before November 30, 2021. We will announce 2 x $500.00 recipients at our next Winter Solstice event around December 21, 2021.
