Lucca’s Plant Based Cooking Adventure

In this 6 week course, you will get to try a variety of plant-based meals that are easy to make and inexpensive. We will post weekly cooking tutorial videos every Thursday starting on July 14, 2022 that you can follow along with at home. We hope that you will enjoy the adventure!

As we learn more about how to live on a healthy planet, we are learning that we need to reduce the amount of animal-derived protein we consume. Swapping one or two meals a week with plant-based protein is a great way to reduce your personal carbon emissions. There are many cultures around the world that, out of necessity, have created delicious meals without meat. Lucca Vigia, Lisa Carriere, Mary Ann Hodge, and I (Omar Abdelraheem) hope you enjoy them and share them with your friends!

  • Omar Abdelraheem

    DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST

I am a fourth year student at Western University who loves to cycle and has a passion for singing! I joined Climate Action London, Indwell, and First St. Andrews to produce this plant-based cooking program for the tenants at Indwell Woodfield Gate Apartments as this program speaks to my desire to advocate for food insecurity, climate action, and support of the local economy! Although I do eat animal-derived products, a major part of my diet comes from plant-based foods and as such, I value plant-based meals for their nutrition and ability to reduce my carbon footprint!
